Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By accessing genieforyou.com, creating an account, or using the Genie mobile application, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Genie.

2. What Genie is (and is not)

Genie is a technology marketplace that helps consumers discover, compare, and book beauty and wellness services from independent providers. Genie is not a medical provider, does not provide medical advice, and does not guarantee outcomes of any treatment. Your relationship for services is with the provider you choose.

3. Eligibility & launch geography

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your state) to book.
• Consumer discovery and provider listings are limited to select regions across the United States during our initial launch. We may expand regions later with notice.
• You are responsible for ensuring any appointment complies with local laws and your own health considerations.

4. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@genieforyou.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. Providers (invite only)

Provider accounts are created only by invitation from Genie. There is no public self-serve clinic registration. Providers must complete verification (including business and license documentation where required) before going live. Genie may approve, reject, or remove listings at its discretion to protect marketplace quality.

Interested providers may contact us at /early-access. Inclusion is not guaranteed.

6. Bookings & payments

Booking modes

Depending on the service, you may:

• Book through Genie (instant or request flows) and pay according to the options shown (e.g., pay in app, deposit, or pay at the clinic);
• Be redirected to a provider's existing booking system (e.g., Square, Mindbody). Their terms and payment policies then apply on their platform.

Cancellations & no-shows

Cancellation and refund rules are shown at checkout and may vary by provider and booking mode. Providers set their policies; Genie facilitates the transaction where applicable.

Payments

When card payments are enabled, they are processed by Stripe or another designated processor. Genie does not store full payment card numbers. Disputes about charges should first be directed to the provider and our support team.

7. Reviews & trust signals

Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences. We may remove reviews that are fraudulent, offensive, or violate policy. Mastery badges and trust indicators reflect rules published by Genie and may change as the product evolves; they are not paid placements unless clearly labeled as sponsored.

8. Rewards & promotions

Promotions, points, and perks are subject to additional rules shown in the app (including expiration, eligibility, and geographic limits). Genie may modify or end programs with reasonable notice.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Violate law or others' rights;
• Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload our systems;
• Create fake accounts, bookings, or reviews;
• Harass providers, staff, or other users;
• Circumvent invite-only or verification requirements.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

10. Intellectual property

Genie's brand, software, and content are owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive license to use the service for personal (or authorized provider) purposes. Do not copy or misuse our trademarks without written permission.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GENIE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO GENIE FOR THE BOOKING GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Genie against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

14. Disputes & governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your state apply. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, unless applicable law requires otherwise. You may also have the right to bring claims in your home state where required by law.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after the effective date of posted changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-app notice.
